hi right now i own a h16 but want to get rid of it for an h18. right now i am a little hesistant however because i am just starting to get into racing the 16. so fun! if i get the 18 i will have to sell the 16.

Will i be able to find as much racing in the so.california area for an 18. I do not want to have to travel states away just to race. i probably wouldnt drive more than 8 hours away

We had 5 18s at our Kick-Off regatta last weekend. Make the short drive to our Surf City invitational in June hosted by the Santa Cruz Yacht Club. It's aot 6 hours drive from LN.

look at the Div 3 schedule on the hcana site for dates.

I agree with Wing. Your enthusiasm is great!

J

There will always be more 16s to race but the 18 is a really fun boat. Its a toss up. I sail in the SE and its rare to have a fleet of 18's. My boat is modded so I race open always, usually with the few 18s that show up. I don't even think there was a fleet at Spring Fever this year.
