1. Recently picked up some magnum wings.

Anyone know how long the bungee cord for the trapeeze should be when extending the bungee around the outside edge of the wings? Not leaving in the regular postion.

2. What is a good choice of trapeeze for an 11 year old boy? (100lbs)

Any comments welcome.
Thanks.

Don't know what the exact lenght would be but you'd be fairly safe to take a measurement from the outside edge of the hull to the outter edge of the wing, add that length to the stock bungee cord length and you should be good. I tried running my trapeze lines to the outside of my magnum wings but much prefer having them run to the outside of the hulls instead (inside the wings). Much cleaner look, very easy to hook and un-hook and keeps the trapeze wires out of your way when you're sitting on the wings. As far as the "trapeze for an 11 year boy".....are you referring to a harness? A smaller sized harness will work fine. My son, who doesn't way much more than 100lbs uses just an old Hobie trapeze harness size medium I think.

My experience with the trap bungee is to run it out side the wings. With it in side it tries to pull the dog bone out of the hook. Try it both ways and see what works best for you.

We never changed the bungee length for the wings. Maybe a longer adjustment line... but that is all.

The last time I changed the trap bungee I think they were 11' long. I have always run them on the outside of the wings with no problems. Always replace with bungee that you get from the Hobie dealer. Hardware store grade bungee is crap and will not perform or last as long as the good stuff.
