Couple of q's, Matt:

Do you know what color deck ports will be installed? (so I can order the correct color matching ones for behind the rear xbar) White?

Am I correct in assuming that the shroud anchor pins are part of the standard attached hardware, or do I need to order some?

Which hull cradles are correct for H18's on a beach dolly - 1624 or 48010001 (Page 32 Parts & Accessories)? This is confusing in the catalog because it contradicts the info given for trailer hull cradles (48000001 & 1624) on page 30.

Thanks.

I assume white ports. Yes, you can order.

Either cradle will work. The 1624 is quite wide and universal fir for other hulls.

Shroud anchor pins are installed on hulls.

Update:

With the recent announcement of the Hobie 16 Worlds in China scheduled for August 2010... we now have to gear up production for an additional 64 Hobie 16s for this event. Some have asked whether the H18 hull production schedule is impacted. I have reviewed the issue and am told that there is currently no expectation of a delay on the H18 hulls. I am promised a more comprehensive schedule review within the next month. Currently, as originally scheduled, production is expected to be complete by late May or early June.

I know I´m a definite minority because I sail all year round, but in my personal case I could care less when the hulls will be completed as long as they are excellence in build quality. That is the most important issue for me.

You're right that build quality should take priority over all else, but I'm guessing the guys planning to do the north americans in June are the ones that are concerned about getting their new hulls in time. Even the end of May delivery makes for a pretty tight schedule.

For Matt M:

What is the price for enough white vinyl tramp material to make a set of matching Magnum wings? Looking to order the white vinyl material only. I measured a couple different sets of older factory Hobie magnum wing tramps and they do vary some, but it looks like each wing tramp needs about 34" by 102" of material to start with (includes the allowance for edge hems).

Unless of course, you happen to have a leftover set of new ones lying around somewhere...

Nope... no magnum covers for many years.

We don't sell the raw cloth.

Just asked Steve in Australia... nothing new / changed. Late May / June delivery here. He promised a schedule review at the end of March.
