I have a 21ft trimaran that uses Hobie 18 hulls as outer floats. There are many soft spots on the top of starboard hull (mainly forward of the front beam), were the skin has delaminated fron the foam core. I have done a search on the forum and have found the standard repair technique of drilling the holes through the outer skin and injecting epoxy resin to "reseal" This worked fine in one soft spot but the second one I tried, there must be damage on the inner skin and the epoxy dripped strait through. Its not in an area where i can get a hand to the underside to seal it.
Any suggestions on how to complete the resin injection?
I was going to try a resin mixture that was slightly thickened with microballons that wouls seal the holes in the inner skin before leaking away, then top up with standard resin mixture.
Embossed on the transon of the port hull is the nimbers 585. Does this mean its a 1985 yr model boat?
