Just bought an 18. Former owner "rebuilt" the jib furler. Can roll up CW, after hoisting, and un-furl OK. Cannot get to furl again. Any comments?

7/7/05 "when all else fails refer to the manual" I think I should wrap the jib CW around the forestay and not rotate the furler CW.

Furler.

With the furler line pulled all the way out of the drum, hoist the jib. Then wrap the jib around the forestay in a clockwise direction (looking down on the drum). As you pull the jib out, the line will wrap around the drum. As you pull the line out, the jib will wrap around the forestay.
