my boat's not class legal due to the whirlwind square top and jib.... BUT, I can borrow Hobie sails when needed....

How do I identify whether my tramp is Hobie ? I've looked ALL OVER or some indication. It's black mesh... pretty basic... two small pockets up front... 3 piece, cut "square" along the weave (rather than diagonal).

My H14T vinyl tramp has a little "H" logo embossed on a rear corner.... but no such thing can be found on my 18.

Where would it be ?

If the seams are welded, its a Hobie. If it's stitched, it's not.

Either way, don't let it discourage you from class racing if your tramp ends up not being Hobie. Most racers tend to be pretty easy going about that type of stuff and are just happy to have another boat on the line (the aftermarket sails would be a different story).

They're all welded.

Thanks!

Makes a difference when the Nationals are down the road at my local club! (Ocean Springs).

Thanks again.
