I have just removed the front and rear crossbars for the first time to work on the hulls on my 1985 H18. The inboard crossbar bolts on the front and rear appear to have been cross threaded by one of the previous owners. I want to replace the bolts and the nut (set in the extruded support) on both the front and rear. Will the Front and Rear support casting kit (hobie part #s 61010001 and 61040001) come will all the parts i need? It is not clear if the kit comes with the nut that is set in the extruded support. Also what size rivets should be used for resetting the end caps on the extrusion and the inset nut for the support bolts?

P.S.
I already know I need to reinforce the front supports to avoid hull failure.

Thanks,

Jason

The part diagram shows all of the main parts in a small box outline. Yes, it has all you need. Casting with nut seated, Bolt, Washers and rivets are included as well. Other rivet information is in the chart on page 65.

So if i understand the diagram and your description correctly, there is a casting that holds the nut (which is inserted into the extrusion and riveted in place). Is this correct?

Thanks,

Jason
