i was just wondering if there is anybody selling two hobie 18 daggerboards and if not can somebody give me the specifications because i am going to make them for my h18 because i do not want to pay the 300 plus dollars to buy them new \ thanks Jonathan Niceville,Fl |

Check on the used parts forum or check out the Beachcats Website. Used slightly nicked up boards are a lot cheaper than putting all of the hours & material into making your own. Look for old hurricane damaged or rotted out boats that someone is parting out, or that you can buy complete & part out at a profit. I found my Magnum wings that way, cheaper than new. Anything attached to a boat always costs more than you want to pay for it. 
Wouldn't you rather be sailing than making daggerboards

Those Ebay daggerboards are from Jeremy. He's the Hobie Dealer in Santa Cruz. If you miss the auction, give Jeremy a try. He's a great asset to the sport, and more than supports the region. |

I have bought two spare sets of daggers on eBay for about $100 per pair. The, for $25 worth of material on each board they are as good as new, but not as pretty. |
