i was just wondering if there is anybody selling two hobie 18 daggerboards and if not can somebody give me the specifications because i am going to make them for my h18 because i do not want to pay the 300 plus dollars to buy them new \ thanks Jonathan Niceville,Fl |

Check on the used parts forum or check out the Beachcats Website. Used slightly nicked up boards are a lot cheaper than putting all of the hours & material into making your own. Look for old hurricane damaged or rotted out boats that someone is parting out, or that you can buy complete & part out at a profit. I found my Magnum wings that way, cheaper than new. Anything attached to a boat always costs more than you want to pay for it. Wouldn't you rather be sailing than making daggerboards |

Those Ebay daggerboards are from Jeremy. He's the Hobie Dealer in Santa Cruz. If you miss the auction, give Jeremy a try. He's a great asset to the sport, and more than supports the region. |

I have bought two spare sets of daggers on eBay for about $100 per pair. The, for $25 worth of material on each board they are as good as new, but not as pretty. |
