the bottom of the mast where it connects to the boat on the boat it is not riveted into the beam it is just sitting there on top i dont think this is right and how should i go about fixing it? i thought about redrilling holes and reriviting it in and then using hose clamps on either side over the dolphin striker
anybody think this will work or any more suggestions
thanks agian

If you are talking about the cup on the front crossbeam that accepts the mast base (called the mast step) I would forego the hose clamps and just redrill and rerivit it to the crossbeam.
