anyone know offhand if the mast step/base for an H18 will fit the extrusion of a prindle 18 mast ?

I don't think so, seems the Prindle extrusion is more round and not teardrop shaped. You might be able to machine it to fit.

i'll check it out this weekend...

seems the P18 solid alu mast may be a decent option for an all alu H18SX sized mast... I think the P18 is a few inches shorter than the SX mast, but about 9 inches larger than the standard H18.

Of course not sure about shrouds/forestay. Like I said, looking into it.

If the Prindle mast is 9" longer than an 18SE mast, then it's 9" shorter than an 18SX mast. The 18SX mast is 18" longer than a stock 18 mast IIRC.

(broken) p19 mast base, probably a bit different since 18.2 and 19 are different from 16 and 18, but should be similar.
