Hi guys and girls,

I have purchased a older H18, the jib blocks are not the originals and do not have the bekkets to tie off the jib sheet. I am confused as to where I will tie off the ends of the jib sheet. Factory sheet is supposed to be 44 feet long, will I still need the 44 feet (question mark)

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Edmonton, Alberta.

I figured it out. These are Ochsen self holding blocks. There IS a tie off on the bottom.

Thanks.

I have those blocks, too, but the becket is on the top. :?:

And if your tie off doesn't work it has been suggested to tie off the jib sheet to the jib clew. You'll lose the normal 2:1 purchase but it should work in a pinch.

What type of Jib Traveler Car is in the Jib Traveler Track ????? (... since you have non-origonal blocks, you may have different traveler cars then the "origonal w/Seaways")

Could you tie-off the jibsheet line to the traveler car???? How about looping some spectra around and under the jib sheetblock to where the block is attached to the traveler car .... you can then tie-off the jibsheet to the loop of spectra ...

(... it won't be pretty but it may work ...)
