Post subject:  How to Mount PVC Cradles to the Trailer

As others have suggested, I found the 10" PVC and cut it in thirds to make hull cradles, and they fit fantastic on my Hobie 18. I'd like to have the rear cradles pivot to allow easier loading and unloading and am looking for pictures of solutions that provide this. I saw one posting of some welded pivoting mounts, but I don't have access to welding equipment. Please post some pictures of other solutions that work well.

Thanks!

Mark

I believe you are talking about the thread called "The Big Project/Hobie 18 Hull Repair" .... Tad did a great job ... he took alittle bit of advice and then improved upon it immencely .... the other thread to look at is "Assembling a New Hobie 18" .... it's really good ... the gentleman's attention to detail is fantastic ....

The cradles on my cat trax have a rounded mounting plate that fits aound the axle. I bet you could get a set from florida sail craft and attach that to your existing roller. Voila, pivoting cradle.
