Post subject:  Dagger board stop cleat (part #8024-0001)

Anybody familiar with this part and how to install it.

It came with the boat, but the instructions got wet and are almost unreadable.

Help....

I've seen the part I believe you're referring to installed on a few H18s where my brother lives. Essentially a small rubber block riveted into the deck along the leading edge of the well opening to help keep your raised dagger boards from sliding down unexpectedly. Probably good thing to have if you spend a lot of time sailing in and out of the surf otherwise it probably isn't necessary.

I think that you are correct, I will probably put in the spare parts bin and forget about it.
