Measurements show the spin bail for my boat should be 1.5' above the SX spin tang. Approximately 38" from the top. Is the comptip strong enough at that height to hold a Tiger spin. Didn't the Tigers and Fox have comptips when first imported? Was planning on using a 2 rivet turning block and a bail 6-8" below. Was going to drill thru the comptip at the luff track and run bail thru, using the entire tip for strenght. Is this the right way to install? Other suggestions? Finally, if not strong enough will the comptip tear or snap all at once. Anyway to know if its been uv affected?

I would use a H14 mast tang. The tip should be OK, but all masts are weak under heavy spinnaker loads.
