I noticed some water in the mast when I pulled the boat off the beach last weekend to store it for the winter (I have not been able to sail for the last two months, so it has been sitting).

I have a H18SX.

What do I need to do in order to reseal the mast?

Search the Forum.

Read the story from Matt Bounds about the leaking mast on his H17 at the H17 Nationals in San Francisco a couple of years ago...

How much time did you spend 'swimming' this past season? Any turtles? Any reason to suspect the joint between the comp tip and the mast? The mast plug? Or a problem with the seal at the top casting?

Probably, you can drain the mast from the bolt hole area at the mast rotator....however, be careful not to remove the entire bolt as the compression sleeve can slip out...

Then re-silicon all the holes where the mast has been riveted or bolted.
I don't bother, as we sail with a Hobie Bob....
