Hi,

Im new to this site but thought i'd give it a shot. I have a Hobie 18 that I just bought. The thing is it doesn't have a title. Yes I bought it without a title but for $150 you can't beat that. Anyways I am in need of help to get this titled! I've called in to TPWD and there is no way to get this titled into my name.. The hull number doesn't match up and no this boat is not stolen. Can anyone please help me out!?

Thanks for the help!

Josh

You might want to look at viewtopic.php?f=14&t=6825&hilit=title+texas
and then follow the various threads. Having read it, and not being from Texas so I don't know if it's accurate, but I'd get a large whiskey before I start.

Best of luck,

Jim Clark-Dawe

I understand why it's all done BUT looking at the threads for required documentation .... WOW this certainly almost borders on draconian RED TAPE.

Luckily for us only one paper .. "Boat's measurement certificate" is all that's required
