Interesting, my spin sheets in front of the sidestay. I also have a 12' pole. I really think I should sheet to the sidestay but the guy that helped me set it up felt that was too far back. I too am searching for someone to run against and compare. Where are you and the other SX you speak of, I'm in NC.

We are both in Texas, I am in the Houston area and Ricky (the other SX) is in Rock Port near Corpus Christi. His spin sheet is a little more forward than mine but he his still behind the dagger boards. I think the further back you go the better but I could be wrong. My catamaran racing results don't paint a very good picture of my abilities but monohauls (of which most of my experience is on) I am very good on and we always wanted the spin sheet block on the back corners. I just assume this rule applies to cats too taking into count of course not having in the way of the skipper when trapeezeing or interfering with the helm.
