Can a current owner supply the beam of one hull and height...cannot locate anywhere on line?

I know a hull is 20 feet loa and weighs about 90 lbs...

Thx.

I'm fairly certain that the hull is 18' long LOA, unless the '18' in "Hobie 18" is nominal only. I don't have the dimensions of my hulls handy, but the link below is a good source of some information. The keel templates file includes dimensions for hull depth and the overall keel shape, but not beam or length.

Also, the weight of the hulls vary greatly depending on when the boat was built, and has been the topic of much discussion on these forums. I believe the "red line" hulls from the mid-80's were some of the lightest hulls ever build, and I heard someone say that theirs weighed in at ~93-94 lbs. My hulls are from '79, and supposedly the resin in the fiberglass and the glue was applied much more liberally on these older boats. The keels were also solid FRP construction instead of sandwich construction, allowing for much greater strength at the cost of additional weight.

What's your interest in these hull dimensions?

A Hobie 18 hull is 18 feet long and they generally weigh between 100 to 120 lbs. If any 90 lb hulls were ever made, I suspect they are no longer in one piece as that would be quite light. Also, all Hobie 18s have solid keels - they have never been built with a sandwich keel.

Providing a single "height" dimension for the hull is basically impossible given the amount of hull and deck rocker the max height is dependent on how the hull is sitting on the ground but generally speaking the bow sits several inches off the ground. Anyway, I took some quick hull heights at a few locations. Stern height is 13", mid height (at front crossbar) is 20", and bow height is about 22". Hull width at te front crossbar is 14.5".
