How recently were colored hulls available to order? A yellow 1989 Hobie 18 came up and I didn't think they were available by then. Thanks for the history, |

Thanks, for that. Thinking bout the hull colors made me wonder if Hobie had considered doing different hull colors for the rotomolded boats? |

We have, but colors absorb more heat and soften plastic. OK on a kayak, but the cats have a lot more stress on them. For the same reasoning though... too many SKUs for dealers by adding a variety of color options. If we sold as may cats as we do kayaks... maybe. |

My new to me '89 Formula 18/ SX has yellow hulls still in great shape. How would I go about finding out how many of these were built? Looking for newer sail suit for it. |

Really, it's just a matter of cleaning out the gel coat gun, loading it with any color you want, then cleaning it out again. |
