Hi Guys, A friend of mine bought this 1983 boat the other day and it is in remarkably good shape. After a little investigation I found something a little weird about these hulls. 1983 boats were not Red Line boats but check out the red part of the upper deck on the Starboard Hull. Pictured below is both the Starboard and Port hulls looking forward from the port hole. What happened here? Was this a test of some sort. The top of the deck does not appear to ever been modified. Ideas?

Serial # CCMH7449M 83B

Looks like it was just a different colored foam core - or maybe sun-aged core material.
