Question on Serial # for Hobie 18?

Serial # inscribed is: CCM H 8785M84J

The mapping/reference doesn't actually correspond to the serial # inscribed. I'm looking for confirmation that this is a hobie 18, model, and year of manufacturer. I think its a Hobie 18 Magnum and manufacturer year is 1984 but i'm guessing based on values and the reference because it doesn't map. Is there anyone who recognizes this format, has a newer map or can confirm?

Also, the boat comes with Blue Hawaiian sails and I can only find a year map for hobie 16 sail colors - nothing specific for hobie 18s. I think the sails are orig to boat so trying to piece together and thought to post hear for fellow sources of authority/mastery to advise - advice?

If it's 18 feet long and has dagger boards, then it's a Hobie 18. The last two numbers (84) would indicate that it's a 1984 boat. The Blue Hawaii sail pattern would also support that since that pattern was offered during 1984-1985 period. The hull stripe would also be an indicator of what era the boat was built during. You can also look at the hull/deck bond seam line and if you see that red glue was used, that is another indicator.

I'm sure I have a Hobie 18 (unsure of Magnum or not) but would like to know more, '81 I'm guessing, but what model?
