Post subject:  magnum wing mounting question

I have a 90 H18 with magnum wings and would like to know if there is supposed to be support brackets on all mounting points on cross bar ? I noticed I have only one on rear crossbar I'm guessing I lost the other one . It is only 1 inch wide and wraps around where the slugs are in crossbar . I cant see any part in parts list that is same size anyone know of easy replacement part ? There is one in book for sx wings but its made to rivet on and is larger

There are 4 'L' shaped mounting 'tabs' that are mounted at each corner crossbar connection where it joins the hulls. There are also 4 'slugs' that fit into the front and rear crossbar tracks, the aft right side being a bit longer due to the wide area of the track. The final piece is a V shaped fitting that mounts onto the rear crossbar over the right side slug.

the rear posts of the wings mount on the corners, the front curved posts mount onto the slugs.

a couple years back when I found my wings, I searched all over for part numbers but could not find them.
I believe the SX wings use very similar if not exact same mount pieces.

perhaps Matt Miller can correct or verify this.

Yes I just noticed that the rear crossbar has a larger opening on starboard side to remove tramp . It probably only had that one support bracket on it and never noticed it before. Haven't had wings on it for a while. Might not hurt to put them on all four studs where they mount on slugs if I could find same size that is on it now

Only was provided at the right rear corner due to the opening. Keeps the slug centered.
