PCG Rudder blade

I'm looking for a black plastic rudder blade I believe they called PCG. I bought a boat that has one of them ground flat on the bottom. I don't think you can repair those.

I've got some white ones.. but why do you want plastic?? better to replace with fiberglass as a minimum...

Hmm. It would seem odd to run a glass rudder on one side and plastic on the other. It'd be an improvement, overall, but you'd get more lift from one side, and better maneuvering/steering whenever that side is deeper in the water. In general, I'd say it's best to keep them the same, but it wouldn't necessarily hurt otherwise.

If you were already planning to update your rudders, as is often recommended on here, then it would seem a shame to buy a plastic rudder now and then a pair of glass rudders down the road (Unless you wanted to keep a "spare set" for when you're running in shallow water). However, if you're happy with the performance of the plastic rudders and don't want to spend the extra cash on glass rudders (as they are fairly pricy), then I'd stick with what you've got.
