i have had a hobie 18 for the past 7 years and have jumped from boat to boat in recent years, leaving my hobie 18 dormant. The original jib suffered extreme weather damage from is previous handler, to my point: I am looking for the measurements of the hobie 18 SE jib luff-leach and foot in order to give the measurements to my sailmaker. i have sourced a sail which can be transformed into an SE jib with a bi of precise cuts and stitches. Not to be rude but i have seen people asking for this before and they didn't quite get what they wanted :? , i would appreciate if anyone willing to answer actually had the information.

We have digitally cut patterns and do not use these dimensions for anything these days. Hobie Cat does not have dimensions available, so measuring your old sail is the best solution.

I received a pair of sails from Peak Sails. The main matches - but the jib is a good 18" short from the foot. It took 8 weeks for my sails to arrive. If I can't use this jib, my sailing season is probably done. Can anyone tell me if I can use this sail?

Does anyone have a "secret squirrel" phone number to reach Peak Sails. After 3 phone calls today leaving messages, there has not been a return phone call.

Can you use it? likely. If the Luff is short, it just won't hoist as high, if the foot is short, you're jib sheets will need to be a bit longer. It won't work as well as a stock sail or a properly designed aftermarket sail. The H18 works without a jib too!
