The notice of race is now listed for the H18 and H20 North Americans in the Racing section of the form and from what I hear they have recruited some really cool sponsors!

Hope to see you there.

Yes to rentals.

Here are a few notes from fleet 259 about the event.

-We have tent and RV camping available within a 2 min walk to the beach.
-We have a Yacht Club and a the Local City of Avila waiting to welcome us to a beautiful CA beach.
-The whales have been moving in and out of the harbor and we expect all kinds of sea life. (Saw a bunch Saturday)
-We have people from all over North America who are already signed up to be here.
-We will have lots of Goodies as our sponsorship's are solid (Zhik, SLO Sail and Canvas, Murrays Sports, and a few to be announced soon)
-A few charter boats have been requested and found. Let us know if you are looking for a boat.
-We had 12 Hobie 18s at our local (Hobie Days) Regatta in Avila a April 18th and 19th. Strong/new competition.
-Winds at Avila in August are Medium and consistent.

This year at the Hobie Days Regatta. Check out all the 18's!!!

I'm looking forward to it! Avila Beach / Port San Luis has been fun and challenging for the last two regattas. I'll budget to go to the nearby hot springs, too.

You are incredibly lucky to have the H18 numbers. Now days here in SA for a relatively major event we are lucky to get +3 boats on the water for the H18.

If only I could get my act together, I'd gladly use a Hobie regatta to visit SA again.

Have you ever considered the Tanzacat challenge ..... From Dar Es Salaam (Tanzania) to Zanzibar and environs and then back ..... approx. 4 days.

See .... http://www.tanzacat.com/fileadmin/user_upload/Zanzibar_Raid_Complete.pdf

Or the main website.. http://www.tanzacat.com

Only Hobie Tigers and Hobie 16's can be rented.

You're not helping tame my desires! I've been meaning to cross the third "Z" of Africa off my list as I already have Zimbabwe and Zambia off the list.

At present I am getting ready for Tanzacat as we need to pack the container in the next 2 weeks ... hopefully I can go this time

Here I am doing a long overdue front cross bar replacement. I bought a new cross bar last year

I have no wish for the cross bar to collapse way out at sea.
