Hey,
I have bought some mesh from a Hobie dealer who has gotten the it from Hobie France, and they are very sure that it fits the wings on my Magnum. I have tried to make it work but without luck, Hobie claims that it is me who is being a nut and it should install easily if folded correctly.

I will try and put some pictures in here and hear if any of you guys have experience doing this?

There are two types of wings for the H18. Magnum wings, which are shorter and only cover the area between the front and rear crossbars. And SX wings which are longer and extend about a foot past the front and rear crossbars.

It looks like your boat has Magnum wings but the dealer sold you covers for SX wings, which will not fit.

I agree, however Hobie France are certain that its me who does it wrong.

Has anyone else tried this?

It’s not going to work. They sold you the wrong part. Suggest you send them a picture and request a refund.

If they can’t send you the right wing covers, there are plenty of aftermarket companies that make the correct size covers. That would be a lot easier than trying to make the wrong covers fit.

There's really nothing more to be done. They sent you the wrong part. The mesh covers they sent you are for SX wings, as srm said, and the wings you have are Magnum wings. 100% the wrong part, there is nothing that can be done except for the dealer to refund you and return the mesh.

I'm not sure if Hobie still makes magnum style trampolines, so your only option may be to go third party or have something custom made.

Correct... They shipped you SX wing covers. The Magnum is the original shorter wing.

We have not had Magnum seat mesh in decades now. Maybe France has a plan on how that would fit... doubt it. Likely just confused.
