How does everyone stop the side to side movement of the daggerboards when sailing?

I like to sail with them at various depths so............ I need them to go up & down easy but not back & forth. (width)

no idea if they are race legal

but wood wedges work
you just have to rase the board to release them before going down
and use fishing line to keep them onboard
