Post subject:  18 centerboard/daggerboard repair?

My centerboards (daggerboards?) were a pretty chewed up on the backsides after two seasons of use. I am concerned that if I used a standard fiberglass patch, the boards might not fit in the hull slots.

Please let me know if there is a good alternative or if I shoulod be concerned with that possibility.

Thanks.

How badly are they damaged?

I repaired mine last season using only fiberglass resin no patch screening.

There were 1/2" - 3/4" pieces out of the edges.

No issues with the repair after a hard season.

Just make sure you don't change the shape and you should be fine.

Good luck
