I have to me a strange situation. When I go out fishing or other in my compass the first couple times dropping the Peddle Drive in usually no problem but fishing in South Texas water can be really shallow so there are times I have to pull the drive. Issue is that for some unknown reason to me the drive will not just drop in and locking to place easily. Often the right side will not engage. I have changed the springs and the locks work fine it seems but no matter what I do that right side will not fall into place or lock in.

Has anyone had this problem and figured out the cause.

When you place it in the well, the drive may be tilted fore or aft. This can cause hang-ups.

I'll keep an eye on it next time out but this is my 3rd Hobie having had 2 outbacks previously over the years and even this compass the first couple year never any issues and as mentioned the first couple drop in seem to have no problem but after that the right side will not go in. Very strange but will mess with it some more next time

Same drive in the same boat? Could be tolerance or even changes in temperature.
