The 1st thing that I do is check to see is the hulls are in good shape. Start by pressing down on the hulls in front of the front cross bars, do this starting at the pylon and forward about 2 feet. If this is mussy you need to get someone that knows what they are doing to see how bad it is (IT SHOULD BE SOLID). It should have a hollow sound to it if you knock on it. Check to see if the bottom needs to be re-glassed. Make sure all of the big pieces are there, main/jib, main sheet blocks, complete rudder assembly, and all appropriate rigging. Give the sails a once over to check for any rips and see if the Batten pocket protectors are still attached. If everything seams to be okay then think about going for it. I recommend replacing all standing rigging. You never know when a shroud might break, they always break in the most inopportune time. You can purchase a H16 rig kit for less that $180.00 from any Authorized Hobie Cat Dealer If you have any questions please fell free to call me of e-mail me off list.

Thanks,
