How often do you repack the wheel bearings on your Hobie trailer? I just picked up a 16 and trailer that had been sitting for 3 years. I have hauled it around town a few times with no problems, but we are now planning a trip about a hundred miles away and I've been wondering... Thanks, Nick |

I'm not sure how often you should repack your bearing but before I drive any distance I would spend the time to re pack everything. Its not hard just be sure to wear an old shirt! A good rule of thumb is to grease the bearings once a year if you do a lot of trailering. I know that I repacked the wheel bearings on my 16 trailer this spring and then put on Buddy Bearings after that. Just before I go out on a trip, I check the bearings and give them a shot of grease if they need it. The Skier |

Thanks for the insights, gang! I have made an appointment to get the "once over". Happy sails! Nick |
