On my 16, there are two different trapeze wires on each side. One is the standard wire, and the other has a kind of pig-tail at the top end to attach the second wire to. I can't seem to find this second kind in any of the catologues. Is this something that was removed or changed?

The pig-tailed wire is about 6" longer than the other, so should I replace this set up with two equal length wires and just attach them both to the mast shackle?

Here's a pic:Image

This was a way to attach double trapeze to the old single shackle tang system. Reduced the number of wires on the shackle. We have used a double shackle set up for many years... this type of wire is no longer needed or available. Either use as-is or replace. No big deal.
