Hello, I am looking for some help. I purchased a sailboat (not Hobie Cat) and with the boat came a sail that the previous owner was using as a jib. From the research I've done soo far I believe the sail is a Hobie 16 jib, can someone help me to confirm this? I have taken a few picutes and can email them. The sail is light blue, blue, purple, red, and orange in color from bottom to top. Here are the measurements: Luff: has a cable running through it. Cable is 187" or 15'7" , the fabric is 184" or 15'4" Foot: 65" or 5'5" Leech: 181" or 15'1" measured on arch There is a window in the lower portion that is 7.5" by 21.5". There is a trapizoidal/rectangular piece of metal on the outhaul that is 8" (longest) by 1.5" and has 5 (.5") holes. I am also planning to sell the sail, would anyone have a good idea of price range? There are no tears or patches it does have a few little stains and is crispy! Thanks! Steve |

If Hobie made... it would have a small company patch on the tack. Colors sound Hobie. H16s have 4 battens in the standard sail. The rec version is not battented... maybe that is it? The dims are close for leech and foot anyway. |

Sounds like the H16 Recreational / Furling jib. List price is currently $399.95 for White. |

Steve, That may be the Carumba sail color from 1980. Check out this PDF file and look at the first sail color from 1980. http://www.hobiecat.com/support/pdfs/Sa ... istory.pdf |
