Matt,

I just purchased a hobie cat that does not have a title. I have a bill of sale for the vessell as well as identification with the north carolina wildlife. Is it possible to obtain a title from the manufacturer for a boat as a third owner? Just wondering, as I am not sure how all of this works. Also if I provide you with the hull identification and sail #'s can I obtain information regarding the history of the boat such as its original owner, or even just the year model.

Thanks,

Scott

Scott,

Just happened to see your posting. NOt sure if you can get ownership info but the last 2 numbers of the serial number etched into both hulls should be the model year.

We can only provide the dealer who bought a boat the duplicate title.
