Post subject: | jib batten leech caps |
I bought a 1978 H16 last year and have only about a half-dozen outings under my belt. I sent my jib away this spring to have it re-sewn (some of the batten pocket seams had come apart). In any case, I got my sail back and I'm not sure exactly how to re-tie the battens. Two of the battens have leech caps and two don't (they just have holes). What is the standard knot for tying battens in place? Thanks, Miles |

Post subject: | Batten Tie information in FAQ section now |
I just posted a FAQ on batten ties. http://www.hobiecat.com/community/viewtopic.php?p=654#654 Other than this information, simply pass the line through the holes and tie with a couple half hitches. The information in the FAQ handles the "V" jam leech caps. Main caps are shown. Jib caps have one less hole. Matt Miller Hobie Cat |
