Mast rotation angle

Does anyone know what the mast rotation angle is on a new mast base and mast step set? I just came into a used H16 and the stops are pretty beat up. I had a thought of gluing a cap over them to "restore" the original amount of rotation. until I get a few more important things repiared I need to save some cash.

One way to repair the mast step is to file the stops so you have a 90deg angle. Drill and tap the base and thread in a stainless stud with locktite. File the side that the mast base hits smooth and your good to go for a long time. Did that make sense?

That was a thought I had as well. I just hate to remove more material than I have too. Especially when using dissimilar metals. But, I still need to know what the overall rotation is so I can repair my stops for the proper angle.

There is SS and Aluminum all over the boat. It's not the space shuttle. Get er fixed up and go sail. A little less rotation is good. Helps power up the boat. If the stop is beat anyway you have nothing to lose.

I am pretty sure I have an extra mast base in good shape you could have for cheap.
Easy to put on, once you have the dophin striker off.

You're right about the SS and Al in contact. It's just my enginerd side surfacing.

I might take you up on that mast step. I will still need a mast base though. Which leads back to my original questions... What is the total mast rotation angle on the H16?
