They purchase some Hobie parts through our dealers and re-number... Code: 50-80100501 The "50" before our number denotes the supplier (Hobie) I believe. |

I had the same problem last year and I rubbed paraffin wax (available in any supermarket) on the track and the bolt and it flies right up there with almost no effort. |

I thought of the wax once but didn't use it out of fear that it could attract some grit, even if just a little. The Sailkote is working great for me. |

The wax seems to be very dry and not sticky at all. You can feel it but can't see it. I keep a bar in the box but have only had to do it once last season and once this season. |

Sailkote the mast and the sail and then hand feed the sail from the bottom ahead of the other person hoisting the rope. We had that same problem but after reading this post and doing the above it slides right up every time no problemo. |

Just a reminder, if you have your wife or girlfriend feeding the sail make sure you demonstrate and reiterate how important it is that they don't get their fingers sucked up into the track along with the sail...still hearing about that one! |

My '00 has a double sided cutaway on the mast with no holes for the Hobie feeder but a pair of holes on each side of the track right at the top of the cutaway. Does this make sense? My sail hangs up on the edge of the slot so I bought the feeder kit, but maybe I should fix the problem some other way. I figure those holes were for some other type of feeder, but maybe they were for something else entirely. |
