Hey all!
I searched but couldn't quite find an answer.
I was sailing on Friday and when winds hit my jib it starts roaring. In between the battens flutters. I'm wondering if I need to tighten my jib. Is the forestry line supposed to be tight or somewhat loose? Does the jib "replace" the forestry line.

Thanks for the input,

-Matthew

Yes, the Jib halyard should be tight and the forestay should be loose. The wire in the Jib is actually what holds the mast forward once it's fully rigged.
