Argh.. Yeah. After only 1 year, the bales on the shock cord have scratched the crap out of the anodizing allready.

Hmm and this weekend I completely forgor to put on the downhull (Didn't even have the gooseneck in the track. I made it all the way out to the ocean before I noticed it. Didn't do too bad tacking out of channel either... The Tiger in front of me wasn't going a whole lot faster then I. So now I have a scratched mast from the gooseneck too :(

Bill Jeffers has the rudder drilling jig. His wife's old 16 had the perfect helm, so he's saved the old rudders (they're original EPO's) and uses them as a template along with a jig on a drill press to drill rudders.

I think every serious racer in the northeast has had Billy drill their 16 rudders. It's worth every penny of the $20 he charges for the service. They come out perfect every time.
