Hello,

I had my cam and plunger fail on me while camping this weekend so I am doing a rudder overhaul. My question is this:

Is there any difference between the old castings that I have ('80 or '81 boat) and the newer adjustable castings? Can I drill and tap a hole and add the adjuster set-screw?

I'm going to re-drill my rudders and if the casting can be made adjustable, I can go a little farther with the hole.

Thanks!

There use to be a kit to update the upper castings, not sure if it is till available. I can do some research and let you know. E-mail me if you would like me to pursue this.

Thanks,
