I just put a 6:1 downhaul on my H16 and have a question. How do you make this thing easy to get on and off? Currently it's attached to the mast and the goose neck ring with tiny little cotter pins. (old guy's nightmare) As is, it appears this would add at least 10 minute to my rigging time.

I'm guessing some of you experienced folks have figured out a better way and could save me some trial an error.

stainless "s" hooks? tiny quick release pins? quick shackles? What works best?

Leave it attached to the boom with the clevis pin.

Use a shackle or quick pin on the lower end.
