Hay there. Does anyone have clever idea on how to make my own shroud chain plate adjuster cover. I'm living in the third world where nobody has stock. |

How about a chunk of rubber hose, radiator hose, garden hose etc. Any auto supply will have heater hose. Most home supply stores (Lowes etc) have clear plastic tubing in several diameters. |

South Africa. East London. The Wild Coast. And it gets wild. Famous for our ship wrecks and sardine run. Thanks for the replies. Keep them coming. I am rebuilding a H16 and needed new shrouds, bridles and trapeze cables. I have had the cables made but the end of the cable that sticks out past the crimp is dangerously sharp. (I know that the official Hobie spares are better quality but I cannot afford them) So now I have the task of protecting myself and crew from injury. Especially around the shroud and trapeze cable ends. |

Sounds like in your case you could use some fabric or neoprene duct taped to the sharp cable area and not worry about the rest of it. Leave the adjustors attached once you have it rigged |

They tend to leave us alone. When I'm surfing I have to be more cautious. We had a kid on a H14 flipped by a whale in the bay a few years back. |
