 Post subject: Hobie 16 assemble Manual

I see on the European site that they attach the Shrouds and Trap wires to all one shackle,as opposed to here where we use two shackles. :?:

That's old-school - the way it was done before we had the three-hole tang (mid-70's was when that went away).

Notice that they never actually show you a picture of the tang?

Yes you are right no picture.Couple of other things I found interesting is they suggest filling the pylons and re drillin the pylon bolt holes.You do not see that it our manual.

Filing, not filling. Round the extrusion edges so they don't bind on the castings.

I think that's done at the US factory before they're shipped. Same with the drilling. All the US boats are test assembled and fitted, last time I heard (Matt M. can verify.)

Not really imortant,did not post this as a knock on the North American Hobie Company, just found it interesting that's all.
