After hours of overhauling and tweaking, my 16 went sailing again !!!! She sailed beautifully, and the repair of the "play" on the mounting tubes ( hull side to side play ), makes an awesome difference on the ride, now she rides very solid and predictable. The new Tarp from Atomic Tarps, AWESOME !!! Remember to drop me a message or a call if you guys ever come down to P.R. My 16 is at the Escuela de Vela ( School of Sailing, also Home to the Local Hobie Dealer, owned and attended by the very same Quique Figueroa, and his partner "Papo", both Sailing World Champions ) here in Isla Verde Beach next to the International Airport in San Juan. If you come down, we can plan to go sailing as a group ( They rent Cats too ). I took her sailing from another beach, to the School Site, and it is a great feeling to gather with all the other sailors and sailing students, it feels very good to hang with the group. So, you guys are formally invited to join our local group anytime. |
