Hey Everybody,

I am looking at purchasing used sails. I have found a jib and main set for 250.00,which includes the boom for the mail sail and a sail bag. One of the batton is missing the plastic support on both sides. I am going to take a look at the sails on Monday. Here are some images of the sails. Any suggestions would be great

Those sails look fantastic, I'd buy them for $250 without the boom. Does it come with the battens? Batten pockets are cheap and you can get them for about $3/piece.

It does. Had a deal with the guy, but sold them to another person that offered him double the money.

Does anyone know of any sail shops in the Wisconsin or Minnesota area?

Sorry to hear that, kenkovac. I went through the same ordeal. You're not the first or last.

Its amazing to me, and I mean AMAZING, that people buy USED Hobie gear for the price they do. Its as though some people have too much spare time/money and feel a need to "collect" Hobie paraphernalia just "because". That or Ebay sailors reselling used hobie gear for almost new prices (give me a (censored) break!)

And if you're one of "those people" reading this... -Let the new Hobie sailors catch a break/deal so the sport can live on for gods sake!

Anyways... Good luck and rant off. If I come by any used sails for cheap, you'll be the first to know.
