Hi, I don't know if "goose neck" is the proper term, but I'm talking about the fitting that is on the mast end of the boom, that slides down into the boom. My goose neck is able to slide in and out of the boom by about 1 inch. Is this proper, or has something come loose inside my boom? Thanks Wallace |

It's proper. There's either a cotter pin or circlip on the inside end of the boom pin that keeps it from coming all the way out. |

The E clip on my boom pink has broken off inside my boom. Do I need to take the endcap off, replace it and re-rivet or will it sail without it? |

It will sail just fine w/o the clip. However, if you completely remove the boom from the sail, there will be a chance of the gooseneck falling out/getting lost without your realizing it. Can't imagine any other consequence. |

Yeah you should probably drill out the rivets on the end cap that houses the goose neck assembly, pop the end cap off and put the clip back on the goose neck. Then rivet it back together. That's what I did anyways. |
