Well I live in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan Canada, you could just bring the boat up here after the ice is gone LOL. |

What do you need to learn? I can take you out on my H16 if you like and go over tacking/jibing/traping-out or anything you like. You can bring your H16 if you like. I sail mostly in San Dimas at Bonelli Park when I teach cat sailing. It will cost you a soda pop (I am not free, but I am cheap) - |

I can also give you sailing lessons. I'm in San Diego so you would have to come down to Mission Bay or San Diego Bay. We can learn on my boat or you can bring yours. Let me know if your interested so we can scheduler a day. Cheers JD |

jsloan999 sent you a pm I thank that would be great. I just have no clue to get going and when I by some mistake get going have no clue how to stop so I kind of crash in to the dock. |

Try to avoid docks while learning - much easier to rig, take off and return to a sandy or grassy shore. The main thing is to be constantly aware of is the direction the wind is comming from. Once you get moving, apparent wind will be in play. If you do not have a wind indicator, I will give you one. To stop, turn directly into the wind. To go, turn off the wind by at least 45 degrees. When we meet, I will go over the basics on paper, we will rig your H16 and then hit the water. In the mean time, watch this 12 minute training video on sailing basics of the H16 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PFliNR3wW_w |
