Hi Ya'll,

I just bought a used Hobie 16 and I'm in the process of learning all the terminology. What are these brackets called on the rear crossbar? I can't find listed on any of the parts diagrams and I need the device that clips into it.

Thanks!

Those are just jam cleats. Nothing clips in them. No clue why they are on there. Not stock afaik.

Hard to tell from pic but it looks like a regular newer style traveler on there?

One of those is probably from the original traveler system. The stock set up was one on each side; don't know why someone added another.

They can both be removed.

While you're at it, get rid of the hose clamp holding down the traveler track at the end (attach it properly with countersunk rivets).
