I have old epo rudders and the holes are ovaled. I was thinking about filling the holes with fiberglass chop and resin and then redrilling. Does this sound like a good plan. I am open to suggestions. PS I am a new user. I have been sailing a 16 Hobie for about 3 yrs and I am totally hooked!

Yep, it is a good plan. I would recommend using an epoxy resin. When you re-drill, try to get the new holes as close to the original position as possible. Also if you can use a drill press, it will help to ensure the axis of the holes remains square to the surface of the blade.

Thank you for the quick reply. I will use a drill press as you suggest.
