Wife and I have had a few capsizes now and we always get back on but I am finding it really hard to get back on the boat without marking the hulls with my trap hook. Wife struggles even more as she has less upper body strength. Anyone have any handy tips for getting back on the boat easily without scratching?

Or do I just need more time in the gym? :D

Are you referring to when the boat is still capsized or when it's upright? If the latter, the easiest way I've found (on my H-16) is to get back on board between hulls at front beam facing backward. Can't really describe the process, but (with zero gym time) I can pull up on the front crossbar & hull and swing my hips so that I end up sitting on hull without a trap hook stabbing. H-16 is weight sensitive, and every little bit helps, so get both your weights on the same side to depress hull as much as possible, instead of working against each other. Leeward works best....assuming you aren't catching much air!
